Thom Gibson is a two-time teacher of-the-year educator, Co-Founder at New EdTech Classroom, educational consultant, and an Adobe Education Leader. Mandy Rice is a former high school educator turned educational consultant working to help teachers build sustainable classrooms so they can stay there longer. She loves all things flipped classroom and teacher-mom life hacks, and most of the time can be found on a variety of sports fields or courts with her husband and three boys and enjoys camping with her family.
Kathy Swan is a professor of curriculum and instruction at the University of Kentucky. Swan was awarded UKY’s Great Teacher Award in 2021 and has been a four-time recipient of the National Technology Leadership Award in Social Studies Education. She is the co-creator and co-director of C3 Teachers and Making Inquiry Possible.
Katherine Whitaker is the Director of Board Development for the Missouri School Boards' Association. She taught both middle and high school mathematics for ten years in Kansas City, MO. Together they have written two books: Your First Year and Classroom Management from the Ground Up.
Pam Harris is changing the way we view and teach mathematics. She is a former high school math teacher, a university lecturer, an author, and a mathematics teachers educator. Pam helps teachers make the shift from using remote memory and mimicking a set of facts to thinking mathematically, a term she calls Real Math.
Marcia L. Tate, EdD, is the former Executive Director of Professional Development for the DeKalb County School System, Decatur, Georgia. During the course of her 30-year career with the district, she has also been a classroom teacher, reading specialist, language arts coordinator, and staff development executive director. In 2001, she received Georgia’s Distinguished Staff Developer Award, and her department won the Exemplary Program Award for the state.
